The top line reads Bristol Data Recovery. Under it goes Castlemead, Lower Castle Street, Bristol, BS1 3AG. Reception knows the building by that name, so a parcel labelled Plymouth risks being refused. Send it with tracking and insurance. Your drive gets looked at on the day it arrives, whichever way the job then goes, and the return post is ours.

Could I bring it in by hand?

Yes, though for most people in Devon and Cornwall the post is far less bother. Plymouth has no counter. Anything handed over is taken in at the Bristol bench — Castlemead, Lower Castle Street, BS1 3AG — weekdays 9am–5:30pm. From Plymouth the road is the A38 east to the M5 and north; out of Cornwall the A30 crosses the Tamar untolled. Ring ahead and your paperwork will be waiting.

What else goes in with it?

The drive itself, plus any screws or leads that parted company with it, and a printed shipping form completed. Is it encrypted? Then the password or recovery key must appear on that form. The mains adaptor stays with you unless somebody asks.
