Questions asked before posting it.

Does your cover reach my postcode?

Yes — anywhere a tracked courier will deliver. Most parcels start in the PL districts, with a steady flow out of TR and TQ7, and plenty come from well beyond all three. Wherever yours sets off, the postage home is on us.

Is the post the dangerous bit?

How you pack it matters; the mileage does not. An external can travel in its own case. A NAS or RAID unit should not — pull the disks, mark each one with its bay number, send them bare. Same for a disk taken out of a laptop, tower or recorder. Cushion all six faces. Post it tracked and insured.

Can you come and fetch it?

No — there is no van and no pick-up round. Tracked post moves faster than a driver would and has fewer parts to fail. If you would sooner hand it over in person, drop-offs are taken at the Bristol lab Monday to Friday. Ring first about a server, a large array, or any device being kept as evidence, and we settle the route on the phone.

I am miles away — should I use somebody local?

Distance decides very little here. What decides it is the bench your disk finally lands on, and whether anyone tells you plainly what is wrong with it. Your box is opened and assessed on the day it arrives.
